Out in the wild, who wins in a wolverine vs. These two animals may look like scrappy fur balls, but they're built for battle. Think claws, jaws and hides tougher than a biker jacket. Wolverines, native to the Northern Hemisphere, belong to the weasel family. So do badgers, including the infamous honey badger of Africa and the European badger of, well, Europe. But dig a little deeper and key differences emerge. What About Other Wolverines and Badgers? Verdict: Who Would Win? The wolverine has the weight advantage. A [https://cse.google.com.vn/url?q=https://chessdatabase.science/wiki/Introducing_Alpha_Surge_Male:_Your_Ultimate_Testosterone_Support_And_Performance_Booster official Alpha Surge Male website] wolverine can weigh 24 to 40 pounds (11 to 18 kilograms), nearly double the average honey badger. They're dark brown with a distinctive white stripe along their sides and powerful levers for muscle. Wolverines also have very strong claws, useful for digging and cutting into prey. These animals are tanks. Their thick hide and loose skin make them hard to injure. A honey badger’s hide is so tough, it can withstand bites from lions, snakes and even other honey badgers.

A struggling honey badger can twist around even while pinned and deliver painful bites. Their powerful bite allows them to feed on frozen carcasses and prey. Their claws are equally formidable, used not just for fighting but also for climbing trees and digging dens. Honey badgers have powerful jaws capable of cracking tortoise shells, and they use their long claws to dig through hard soil. Nothing is going to kill honey badgers without taking some serious damage in the process. European badgers, in contrast, are less aggressive and focus on burrowing. But even they can defend themselves with their claws and sharp teeth when threatened. The wolverine’s greater strength and weight give it a better chance in a prolonged mutual mutilation, but the honey badger’s resilience makes it hard to kill. They’re both capable of biting, clawing and grappling for extended periods. Wolverines rely on brute force and an offensive approach. Honey badgers often target weak points like eyes, ears and even genitals.

That’s not random; it’s a survival strategy. The wolverine’s hide is thick, but the honey badger's hide is even thicker and more flexible. European badgers stick to wooded regions across Europe. Despite their different habitats, all badgers and wolverines share traits with other members of the weasel family, like fur-covered tails and incredible digging ability. Wolverines will challenge wolves, and honey badgers have been seen scaring off powerful leopards. Their small size and tough bodies let them exploit niches that other animals can’t. What About Other Wolverines and Badgers? Not all wolverines are created equal. Male wolverines tend to be larger and more aggressive than females. In fights, this gender difference can matter. Similarly, not all badgers are honey badgers. The European badger, for instance, has a white stripe down its face and a more social nature, [https://wikifad.francelafleur.com/Four-doors_Far_Outsold_Two-doors_And_Wagons official Alpha Surge Male website] living in groups known as clans. Some badgers and wolverines may coexist in the same ecosystems with bears and lions. Though they usually avoid these larger predators, they’ve been known to fight over food or territory. The wolverine has the weight, strength and endurance. The honey badger has the thick skin, toughness and no-quit attitude. A one-on-one deathmatch could go either way depending on the conditions, but the wolverine might edge out due to its greater power. Still, both animals are built for survival. They're not just fighters; they’re survivors in some of the harshest environments on Earth.

As developers, we frequently use keyboard shortcuts. Some enthusiasts know hundreds, others are contempt with the essential ones. But every developer does know some. Debugging would be tedious if we couldn’t pause and resume a program’s execution with the keyboard. In recent weeks, I have been able to significantly expand my keyboard shortcut knowledge with my new side-project web app KeyCombiner. In particular, I knew only a few shortcuts for the web-based tools I am using in my daily work. This post describes how it took me less than 1 hour to learn 50 new key combinations. Fortunately, KeyCombiner keeps a detailed history of a user’s learning progress, so that I could write this post retrospectively. Admittedly, the 42 minutes of learning time was interrupted by breaks, and the process involved some other tasks, such as creating the collection of shortcuts I wanted to learn. However, I did, in fact, spend only 42 minutes practicing the shortcuts and have had similar results with other shortcut collections.

The first step to learning new keyboard shortcuts is to define which. I don’t think it is efficient to try and learn all shortcuts for a particular application. You will end up with many that you do not use in your daily work and that you will soon forget again. Creating custom collections of keyboard shortcuts is perhaps the greatest strength of KeyCombiner and sets it apart from any other tool. Within minutes or less, you can have a personal collection by importing shortcuts from popular apps. I like to compare its approach to how you build playlists in music software. Instead of browsing your favorite artists’ albums, you browse categories of your favorite applications. Instead of adding songs to your playlists, you can add keyboard shortcuts to your collections. For this challenge, I created a new collection named "50 to learn". Then, I browsed KeyCombiner’s public collections and started to import everything I wanted to learn.

Resistance training (also called strength training or weight training) is the use of resistance to muscular contraction to build strength, anaerobic endurance and size of skeletal muscles. Resistance training is based on the principle that muscles of the body will work to overcome a resistance force when they are required to do so. When you do resistance training repeatedly and consistently, your muscles become stronger. A well-rounded fitness program includes strength training to improve joint function, bone density, muscle, tendon and ligament strength, as well as aerobic exercise to improve your heart and lung fitness, flexibility and balance exercises. Australia’s physical activity and sedentary behaviour guidelinesExternal Link recommend that adults do muscle strengthening activities on at least two days each week. Weight machines - devices that have adjustable seats with handles attached either to weights or hydraulics. Resistance bands - like giant rubber bands - providing resistance when stretched. They are portable and can be adapted to most workouts. The bands provide continuous resistance throughout a movement. Suspension equipment - a training tool that uses gravity and the user's body weight to complete various exercises. Your own body weight - can be used for squats, push-ups and chin-ups. Set - is a group of repetitions performed without resting, for example, two sets of squats by 15 reps would mean you do 15 squats then rest muscles before doing another 15 squats. Rest - you need to rest between sets. Rest periods vary depending on the intensity of exercise being undertaken. Variety - switching around your workout routine, such as regularly introducing new exercises, challenges your muscles and forces them to adapt and strengthen. Progressive overload principle - to continue to gain benefits, strength training activities need to be done to the point where it’s hard for you to do another repetition. The aim is to use an appropriate weight or resistant force that will challenge you, while maintaining good technique.

You might be surprised to learn that biking does not increase the size of your leg muscles in proportion to the amount of hours you spend cycling and the effort you exert. That's because of the lack of resistance generated by cycling. The muscles that get worked the most are the quads. Bicycling suggests that you perform off-bike exercises for your hamstrings, so as not to get that unbalanced look that some hard-core cyclists sport in their legs. Just as setting the incline on a treadmill higher forces you to push harder with your legs, so does going up a hill on a bicycle. Riding uphill requires that you push your body's weight and your bike weight with your quadriceps and hamstrings - and your gluteus maximus if you are riding in a sitting position. Cycling uses predominantly the quadriceps, calves and glutes during the seated pedal on the down stroke. Raising your heels while standing will require you to use more calf muscle.

Do this by pointing your toes downward if you are clipped in. Practice this at a slow pace to make sure you can do it safely at higher speeds and under more stress. Pedal slower to use more muscle, rather than benefiting from the momentum of the pedal and chain. Pedaling slower makes you do more of the work, with less assistance from the bike's mechanical apparatus. This is best done on an even grade or a slight incline rather than up a steep hill, which could lead to fatigue and exhaustion much sooner. The more resistance your muscles face from the pedals, either by gravity acting on your body and the bike weight or by your legs' efforts against the chain, the more you will stress muscle tissue - which will need to repair and recover, leading to muscle growth. The chosen gear should be high enough for you to maintain a sprint for at least thirty seconds with adequate resistance. Spinning the pedals on a low gear with no resistance will not help build leg muscle. Sprints can be done seated or standing and a good combination of both will help develop leg muscles.

It also sported the already dusty Yahoo brand, which didn’t attract the cool, new content creators. All was a validation of our assumptions of the emotional core of a good social network. One big thing that was also part of this was that every product had a data API, that allowed you to create Mashups with the information and empowered techies to find new use cases for it. I even wrote a book about this with a colleague that took off like a lead balloon - but that’s another story. We lost spectacularly with that approach. Another thing that soon became apparent is that a lot of content became time sensitive - or, well - created with a defined expiry date in mind. This has always been the case in the creative arts. When Web Design started to be a thing, getting to design a web site for a movie or a festival was a carte blanche to go wild and push the limits of the platform.
Cartoons are fun and entertaining to behold, but they're also a lot of work to create. Making an animation requires producing a series of images that change gradually over the course of many frames. Viewing them in quick succession creates the illusion of motion. Early devices like the zoetrope (a cylinder with images inside that appeared to be moving when spun) were created to view what amounted to very short cartoons, but the invention of photography, and then projectors, took animation to a whole new level. In the early 20th century, greats like Max Fleischer and Walt Disney created individual images on paper, animation cels or some other physical medium, photographed each one and then had a movie reel of the photographs developed. This created longer, more detailed cartoons than people had seen before, but it required creating a large number of images (usually around 24 per second of film). Some people still create traditional hand-drawn animation, but most of the cartoons we see today are created using computer software.

And [https://git.hubhoo.com/esperanzamatto/alpha-surge-male-vitality-blend1983/wiki/The-Complete-Workout-Plan-to-Build-Muscle buy Alpha Surge Male] animation isn't limited to cartoons. Whether fanciful or realistic, animations routinely appear in a number of other places, including advertisements, websites, educational videos and video games, to name but a few. The computer-generated imagery (CGI) characters and objects we increasingly see in live-action movies are created by animators using software, too. It's still the painstaking work and skill of the animator that determines how the final product will look, but software can help speed up the process by providing shortcuts and automating some tasks that had to be done manually in the past. Dedicated software gives animators new tools and a nearly unlimited virtual palette of materials with which to create anything they can imagine. You might think computer-generated animation is a relatively new thing, but it's been around for decades in one form or another. Read on to find out about the history of animation software, and what the newer packages can do.D. Ivan Sutherland gained temporary access to an old TX-2 computer.

The TX-2 was a giant multitasking mainframe created in the 1950s that was used for military applications, air traffic control, payroll and census processing, and various other tasks. The TX series machines were some of the first computers to have monitors. Sutherland used it to create a program called Sketchpad, which enabled the user create line drawings and make them move on a computer screen with a light pen and tablet. It was, in effect, the first interactive animation software. But it would be a while before anyone was creating animations with user-friendly software applications. Most computer graphics for the next couple of decades were created by people with programming skills and access to expensive government, corporate or university mainframes. One early wireframe animation of a satellite orbiting a planet was created by Edward E. Zajac for Bell Labs around 1963 using the FORTRAN programming language. The first 3-D rendered movie, a short called "A Computer Animated Hand," was created in 1972 by Ed Catmull and Fred Parke at the University of Utah.

It featured a moving wireframe hand and face, as well as those same models covered in smooth skin. Not surprisingly, Catmull would go on to co-found Pixar. It wasn't long before some of the top computer graphics talent started working in the film industry for outfits like George Lucas's movie special effects powerhouse, Industrial Light and Magic (ILM), originally created to do special effects work for "Star Wars." Jim Blinn and Ed Catmull both worked for Lucasfilm, though at different times. It was while Catmull was there in 1986 that Steve Jobs purchased Lucasfilm's Computer Graphics Division and it became Pixar. Pixar's "Toy Story" (1995) was the first completely CGI full-length film. Both ILM and Pixar, along with other emerging computer graphics houses, would develop lots of technical innovations for use in computer animation, some of which eventually filtered into commercially available software.
